Join the CLIMB research group!

The CLIMB research group explores how global change impacts carbon and nutrient cycling through Canadian ecosystems, integrating this knowledge into terrestrial biosphere and Earth system models with the goal of improving climate change projections informing climate policy and decision-making from local to global scales. New members will join a dynamic research group tackling important environmental questions with the opportunity to develop strong working relationships with academic and government scientists across Canada. The following positions are open:
  • Master's of Resource Management
Projects and theses will align with themes described in the Research tab.
  • PhD in Resource and Environmental Management
Thesis will align with themes described in the Research tab.
  • Postdoctoral fellows
The CLIMB lab is hiring a postdoctoral fellow in collaboration with ECCC for a new project – COALESCES (Canadian Open Alliance for Landscape Ecosystem Science on Climate Impacts and Ecosystem Services). COALESCES' goal is to improve projections of climate impacts on Canadian terrestrial ecosystem services over the 21st century and to advance Canadian climate impact modelling capacity and knowledge mobilization among academic researchers, students, government, and public stakeholders. More details available here.
  • Current undergraduate students interested in Honours or an NSERC USRA
To apply, please submit a CV and a cover letter outlining your research interests and relevant experience to [email protected].
